Richard Brown
CPA, Managing Principal
Richard, a principal at Scheid Deignan Brown PC, started his career in corporate accounting by gaining experience with corporations such as Sappi Fine Paper, STMicroelectronics, and Sefcol Ingredients Ltd. Richard has been with Scheid Deignan Brown PC since 2006, and he is the manager of audit services for the firm. From an operations perspective, Richard thoroughly understands each client’s business, along with its challenges and inherent risks. He has extensive experience in both tax matters and auditing for businesses. Richard received his Master of Science in Taxation at the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University, and he received his Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in Business Studies from Staffordshire University, England. Richard enjoys traveling, is a keen soccer player, and he also enjoys watching his favorite team, England, play on TV!
Elaine Scaramuzzo
Tax & Accounting Associate
Elaine, who joined Scheid Deignan Brown PC in 2007, is a tax specialist, with extensive experience in personal, corporate and trust tax. She is responsible for tax research and tax return preparation. Before joining us, Elaine was responsible for preparing financial statements, SEC reporting, and tax return preparation for 1120 RICS at MFS, where she rose to Assistant Vice President of Fund Treasury. She also was an internal auditor for mutual funds at State Street Bank. Elaine received her BSBA, cum laude degree in accounting from Suffolk University
Rebecca Comjean
CPA, TAX MANAGER
Rebecca graduated from the University of Vermont in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and received an Advanced Accounting Certificate from Northeastern University in 1997. Rebecca is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned a Masters Degree in Taxation from Bently College 2002. Rebecca helped manage the tax practice at a local CPA firm for over 20 years, before joining our firm.
Odeta Longobardo
Accounting & Tax Associate
Odeta joined Scheid Deignan Brown PC in 2015. She is a graduate of Worcester State University, where she earned both a BS in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting Major and a MS in Management, Accounting Concentration. She joined us with extensive experience in accounting, payroll, and employee benefit administration for both private companies and not-for-profit organizations. She currently provides accounting, tax and audit services.
With a keen eye for detail and an aspiration for helping others, Odeta thrives on forming good relationships with clients, understanding their businesses, and what drives them. A lifelong learner, Odeta enjoys acquiring new skills and making the most out of software and other technology solutions to optimize her clients’ financial processes. She is a QuickBooks® Accountant Desktop and QuickBooks® Online Accountant ProAdvisor. She is also trained to work with Sage, Microsoft Dynamics GP and other software packages. Her unique blend of professional expertise and genuine care for her clients makes her an invaluable partner.
A proud resident of Central Massachusetts, Odeta enjoys spending quality time with her family, taking nature walks, exploring new cuisines, and going on day trips throughout New England.
Nicole Peckham
AUDIT & TAX ASSOCIATE
Joined Scheid Deignan Brown in 2024. Graduated from the University of Tampa with her bachelor’s in accounting and then went to Bryant University to obtain her master’s in accounting. She recently moved to Cape Cod and loves spending time with her family and friends!
Susan Gorman
CPA, Tax & Accounting Associate
A CPA since 1985, Sue joined Scheid Deignan Brown PC in 2013. She provides tax and accounting services for clients in many industries. She started her career at Ernst & Young, where she specialized in accounting and taxation for small and emerging businesses. Later employed in private industry, Sue has experience in telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, and not-for-profit organizations. She received a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University, a Master’s in Education from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Bates College. Sue enjoys hiking and outdoor activities, boating, reading, and time spent with family and friends.
MARIE E. MEE CPA, TAX ASSOCIATE
CPA, Tax Associate
Marie is a CPA who has been with Scheid Deignan Brown PC since 1997.
While Marie has extensive experience in audits, reviews, and compilations, she currently specializes in the preparation and review of personal, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and not-for-profit tax returns.
Marie received a Certificate of Accountancy from Bentley University. She also earned an M.S.W from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service and a B.A. from Regis College.
Marie enjoys playing golf and participating in sports and social activities with her family and friends.
Tina Connors
CPA, Tax Associate
Tina is a CPA, licensed in the state of Massachusetts. She has extensive experience in the areas of personal, corporate, partnership, and trust taxation. Tina has been with Scheid Deignan Brown PC since 2011, where she provides tax services. Prior to becoming one of our colleagues, she was with Mara & Associates in Concord for 12 years. Tina began her career at Coopers & Lybrand, which is now known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Tina received her BS in Accounting from Northeastern University. When not working, Tina is active in her church, and she enjoys spending time with her family.
Tracy Chen
Tax Associate
Tracy has over 20 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on both personal and corporate taxation, with a recent emphasis on personal tax services. Tracy earned her BA in Accounting from North Carolina State University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and has visited many countries in Europe and Asia. Tracy has two grown children.
Michelle Hays
CPA, Tax Associate
Michelle is a CPA with over 20 years of public accounting experience providing tax compliance and advisory services. Her experience includes time at Ernst & Young, KPMG, and most recently at Paresky Flitt & Company/UHY. Michelle received a Master of Business Administration from University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley. In her free time, she loves to travel, spend at the Jersey shore, and attend her family’s sports activities.
Jessica Vinal
Office Manager
Jessica, our office manager who ensures that everything runs smoothly, joined Scheid Deignan Brown PC in August 2012. She is an excellent communicator and multi-tasker who provides highly effective administrative and organizational support for our staff and clients. She enjoys making a friendly, upbeat personal connection with each client—in person, over the phone, or via email. Working together with our CPAs and accountants, she ensures that we do our best for each client, creating a smooth and seamless process for fulfilling their tax and accounting needs. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and running.
Lee Moore
OFFICE ASSISTANT
Lee, our seasonal office assistant, started at Scheid Deignan Brown, PC in 2013. She works closely with Jessica during the busy season. Lee graduated from Providence College with a BS in Marketing, and spent her early years in sales and marketing at Offtech, Inc, Campbell Soup Company and Abbott Laboratories until she became a mom in 2000 to her oldest of three. For the past 9 years, Lee has owned and operated a photography business, SimpLee Smile Photography, which focuses on family and lifestyle photos. Throughout her years in Westford, she has enjoyed volunteering in the schools, church, sports activities and any way possible while raising her children. But most of all she loves spending time with her family and friends.
WILLIAM E. SCHEID CPA, FOUNDER
CPA, Founder
Bill founded Scheid Deignan Brown PC, formerly known as Scheid & Company PC, Certified Public Accountants, in 1987. He has more than 45 years of experience in the areas of tax and accounting. He advises clients on tax, accounting, and business matters, including corporate and personal tax planning, tax return preparation, estate planning, business start-up, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, financing, and management issues. He received his BS in Commerce (accounting and business administration) at Rider University. He is currently licensed as a CPA in Massachusetts, and was formerly licensed in Maryland.
Beginning his career at Price Waterhouse, Bill spent 10 years in their Baltimore office as a CPA and member of the audit staff working with private and publicly traded companies. He worked in private industry for the next five years in the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. It was his experience in private industry that inspired Bill to establish Scheid & Company, where he could make a significant contribution to small businesses and individuals.
Bill is active in his community of Concord, Massachusetts, where he has been involved with Habitat for Humanity and Nashawtuc Charities. Bill has twice served as president of Nashawtuc Country Club.
